Oh yeah — I’m hyped! I’m going to see this movie solo (lol), and I don’t even care — that’s how excited I am. It finally feels like someone in the movie industry is actually listening to the fans.​

I genuinely have a blast losing every single Mortal Kombat match — on easy mode, no less — and now it looks like we’re finally getting a movie that truly represents the Mortal Kombat gamer universe. The trailer is packed with those gruesome, bloody fatalities we all love.

Mortal Kombat 2 drops on October 24, 2025, and I’ll be first in line.

I have mixed feelings about James Gunn’s rendition of Superman in this teaser trailer. Gunn is brilliant at introducing new comic characters and new worlds to the big screen. I just don’t think this Superman is from our Earth. Gunn’s Superman is from a totally unfamiliar world with new heroes like Guy Gardner-Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho and Superman’s dog Krypto. I also get the sense from the opening scene of this trailer that Superman can’t do this hero thing by himself. He needs help. He needs a team. He needs a Justice League.

​What’s your favorite Netflix movie? Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning is the best adaptation of a Japanese manga/anime I have ever seen. It was released June 4, 2021, directed by Keishi Ohtomo. The visuals are amazing and the action scenes are brutal.

​The story takes place in 1864 during Japan’s civil war. An assassin Kenshin Himura, also known as Battosai the killer pledges to protect the revolution. I literally lost count of how many bodies he dropped.

I visited Fat Jack’s Comicrypt store in Philadelphia today and picked up a few comic books. One of the books I purchased was Black Adam Special Edition #1. It’s a good read. This book starts out with an amazing, eye opening fight scene then suddenly goes on to a plot that I think will develop into something great in the upcoming issues.


(Black Adam made his first appearance in DC comics Marvel Family #1, December 1945. In the comic, he is an Egyptian prince named Teth-Adam who was bestowed powers by the wizard Shazam.)


On October 21, 2022 Black Adam the movie will be released in the United States.
Staring Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam), Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Fate), Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone), Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher) and Djimon Hounsou (Shazam).
