So Gigi made the perfect summer dinner we call the "noodle dish" when she came to visit us in June for Ailah's high school graduation. If you've eaten this dish before you know how delicious it is. Poppy said, "I remember eating my mom's noodle dish ever since my sister and I were kids..., it's AMAZING! - a one stop shop type of dish".
I don't think it's Chinese food anymore, the taste is from another world type level, lol. She moved so fast making her noodle dish, no rules on ingredients. She created something of her own. Leave a comment below if you would like me to post Gigi’s noodle dish recipe. Enjoy! 😊

So I tried a simple and different way of eating my favorite fish (sea bass 😋). I'd highly recommend it, if you're looking for something new. You don't have to add much else to this meal, it's incredibly delicious. Dip then bite and you'll ignite flavors that lights up every tastebud possible - it could easily become your new favorite food. If you’d like me to post my homemade jerk sauce recipe, leave a comment below. Here are some photos on how I made the fish bites...
What are you up to this weekend? I went to the fish market today and purchased a few, you guessed it, sea bass, lol. I'm thinking about making fried fish fingers this weekend. I've never done it before so If you have a recipe I'd love to try it...
This pandemic has taken a toll on me creatively. I think creativity itself, can help us build and get through this, but it is very difficult. It's difficult not knowing the impact this situation is having on my family and friends. I think for some of us, this is a moment to reassess who and what is important, catch up on home projects and spend time with loved ones. I'm trying to maintain a healthy mindset during this time, exercise, eat healthy, limit social media and catch up on some art projects to name a few.
Does social distance mean isolation? Just sharing my thoughts and I'd love to hear yours...
Never turn your back on a fried sea bass, lol. I did and paid the price - I think I left the kitchen for about two minutes. This is nothing new and it was the usual suspects, Asenath and AJ. Fortunately, here is a picture of the other sea bass I fried...
Hey “true believers", if you know me, you know that I'm a comic book fanatic. I picked up this book from Fat Jack's Comicrypt store in Philadelphia on Sansom Street. The staff was very friendly and super knowledgeable about comics, it’s well worth a visit when you’re in Philly. Ok, I got AVENGERS of the Wastelands #3, I wasn’t too familiar with this series, but the cover kinda caught my eye. Dani Cage, the new bearer of Thor’s hammer, Bruce Banner Jr., son of the Hulk and Grant, Doom’s former super soldier now the new Captain America, banded together to stop Dr. Doom’s most recent assaults against the civilians of the Wastelands.
Here are a few pages (no particular order) ...
I’d highly recommend this comic book, this series, and make sure you check out Fat Jack's Comicrypt store in Philly.., Oh, and leave a comment about a book you would like to recommend down below. Stay safe!
I was chilling in my bed watching my favorite YouTube vlogger, Mark Wiens eat a delicious crispy scorpion when I smelled something good. I ran downstairs, ok, I went downstairs to the kitchen and found Ailah making fried Oreos. I immediately had to taste test one of them, oooh man it was sooo good. The dough was hot and soft and then the sweetness of the powdered sugar and Oreo inside, oh wow, the best fried Oreos I’ve ever had. You can find recipes for fried Oreos online, but If you’re interested in Ailah’s recipe please leave a comment down below. Stay safe!
My wife and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on Friday. Our plans to travel to Virginia had to be canceled of course due to the ‘stay at home’ requirements for each state. So we celebrated at home with our kids and my brother-in-law, Poppy. AJ, Ailah and Poppy were great, they actually served us our dinner before joining us, that was the most memorable part of the evening.
I got the biggest snapper I could purchase from the fish market, gave it a lemon bath, seasoned it and grilled it. We ate the fish with coconut rice and peas, steamed garlic butter broccoli, oh and grilled jerk barbecue shrimp ?. For dessert, oven baked chocolate chip cookie topped with caramel and chocolate drizzled vanilla ice cream. Here are some photos of how I prepared the grilled snapper, if you’re interested in the recipe or any of the foods that I mentioned please leave a comment down below. Enjoy and stay safe!
